  • I thought I would share the cc: of theletter I wrote Dana Rohrabacher (R-Calif.) (see below post). The cc goes to Shays.

Hi! I wanted to send you a cc of the letter I sent to Dana Rohrabacher.

Enjoy! also you have been chosen as the Crackpot Press.com "Class Act Award" winner of the month. This is a highly prestigous honor, awarded only once before. It is hard to find "class acts" these days.Instead of an actual "award" you get a page on my website. There is no cash involved (or for that matter an actual "award"), only glory. How cool is that?

Oh all right it's lame but keep up the good work anyways! People are noticing your loyalty to what some might remember as "ideals," you know, the stuff your grandmother told you about.

Anyways, here's the letter to Dana

    Sir,

You are completely out of line with your comments in regards to Chris Shays. I have reviewed his voting record and simply, he is a man of the people. I have reviewed his statement regarding Terry Schiavo and simply, he is a man of the people. I have reviewed his thoughts on Tom Delay and simply, he is a man of the people.

Who do you represent? It's not the people. It's a small percentage of them.

How have so many Politicians lost their way? According to your Newsday report, Chris Shay is not in "the mainstream of the Republican members of Congress." I'm an independent, I vote as I see fit. I think "the mainstream Congress " may be in touch with whatever the RNC tell them. (yes sir, no sir, right away sir). When was the last time you spoke to the people? Chris Shays has regular town hall meetings (not the kind with pre-screened participants, REAL ones).

What have you done to get Enron to pay back California?
What have you done to curb gas prices?
What have you done for the people?

I care that I am underemployed, I care that the deficit is at a record level (FYI- unlike a sports record, this is bad), I Care that I will probably never be able to own a home in California without having to drive an hour and half to work each way.

Sir, What have you done for me and for the people of California? This question is not rhetorical, I would like an answer.

Now could you please define "disloyal" for me?

    Sincerely, another jerk,

P.S. I will be ccing this letter Rep. Shays, amongst others.

  • Doing my part for the "cause," I called my AZ delegation today (April 12): Senators McCain and Kyl and Congressman Shadegg. Each of their offices were very interested in what I had to say and assured me that my comments would be passed along.

While on the line with each office, I tried to find out the volume of calls they each had received about "the ethically-challenged one -- without success.

I hope that our collective efforts gain momentum and yield the results we seek. Our nation will be much better for it!!
