DeLay case judge removed

DeLay has a good day in court.

I have to say, this was a high risk strategy, and one that doesn't necessarily pay off huge for DeLay. Yes, he removes a judge that he and his lawyers think may be biased, but that doesn't guarantee he gets a judge who he'll like any better.

But all in all, it's a dangerous precedent... Who knows what this means for a venue change request.

  • "*BOOO HOOOO* WAAAAAAHHHH*" cry baby, you can RUN but you CANT HIDE!~:)))) *big grin*

  • Texas is going to have one whopper of a time finding a judge to ajudicate the DeLay proceedings since virtually all the judges in Texas are partisan by definition of the Texas judicial election procedure. They won't find a judge who is neither a Democtrat or Republican and has not contributed to a political party and/or political action group - unless they dig up someone out of his grave. We may assume that this exactly what the Delay team wants. This latest ruling was downright stupid. The Prosecutor had better have one doozie of a solid case against DeLay. Tom D. has got the whole State of Texas paid off - - with laundered funds !

  • During a fund raising dinner in Washington Tom DeLay was smoking a cigar. The restaurant they were at is in a federal building where a no smoking rule prevails. The manager came over and remind DeLay of the governments no smoking rule to which DeLay replied, "You fucking idiot I am the government" His ability to choose his own judge certainly proves the validity of that statement. No Democrat has ever been allowed to have a judge dismissed because he was a Republican. DeLay literally "owns" every Republican in Texas. A Republican judge will slant all rulings in his favor allowing him to get off. Fear of being "primaried" is strong among Republuicans. Our government has been turned over to a sadistic and powerful idiot.
