DeLay threatens TV stations about our ads

One station reported it, and then played our ad as part of the newscast.

We're working to get the ads ack on the air, and considering next steps. We can't let the bully censure TV stations -- he's intimidated Washington for too long -- we won't let him prevent the public from knowing the truth.

  • Um, why don't you post it here? That way I could link to it on my site.

  • Uhm guys, Delay has repeatedly done everything possible to avoid getting on the witness stand and being put under oath. I have never heard of a sucessful libel suit where the plaintiff didnt take the stand. Do you REALLY think Delay is going to agree to be questioned under oath about things he could potentially be charged with a crime about?

  • File a prosecution suit, get all the advertisements run no matter what!!!!!

  • It seems to me that when a political ad goes negitive, there is some element of untruth or outright lying in it. If somebody filed a lawsuit everytime somebody lies in a political ad the Courts would not have time for anything else. During the Frost-Sessions congressional race it was like a contest about who could tell the biggest lie about his opponent.

  • The jerk is a solid ass-hole. So happy he's getting some of what he earned. It's the arrogance and denial, as demonstrated by this story, that turn my stomach.
Bugman- nobody listens to, cares about, or believes you anymore. Corruption is on you like stink on shit, old buddy. The biggest sin is getting caught and YOU DID!

  • You guys should run your ad on Time Warner cable in Houston. Time Warner holds the franchise for cable tv service in the city of Houston and reaches about 60% of all households here. It's cheaper than buying spots on broadcast affiliates and you have more options such as running on the comedy channel, ESPN, Fox news, CNN , whatever.
Here's the link for advertising on Time Warner Houston :
